Emmy's Time Out Tavern, originally a lounge, was established in 1975 by Bill
& Emmy. In 1980 after Bill passed away, Emmy decided to open a restaurant
and lounge called Nashville Station in DeLand. She ran that until 1990 when
she sold Nashville Station and opened Southern Lights. Things really jumped
there until 1992 when Emmy decided she was going to take life easier and
closed Southern Lights. (Everyone said it was just a matter of time till she
opened another restaurant.) In early 1994, Emmy had had enough of the
leisure life and started the task of adding onto Time Out Tavern, her
original roots. Finally, in February of 1995, she opened the restaurant and
has been happily feeding the community since. |
